GearEdge builds websites and automations for small and local businesses. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you get in touch or we work together, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple because our relationship with you should be too.

Information we collect
We only collect what we need to talk with you and do the work:
- Details you send through our contact form — typically your name, email address, phone number, and a description of your business and what you are looking for.
- Anything you share in conversation — the contents of the emails, phone calls, and WhatsApp chats you have with us about your project.
You do not need to create an account to use this site, and we do not collect or store payment card details here. Billing is handled separately, through the invoice for your project.
Why we collect it
We use your information for one purpose: to understand, scope, deliver, and support your project. In practice that means replying to your enquiry, preparing a quote, doing the agreed work, and staying in touch about it afterwards. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics — we reach people offline, through pamphlets and referrals, rather than by tracking visitors. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page first. Note that WhatsApp, email, and phone are run by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies when you use them to reach us.
How your information is stored
Your information is stored securely and kept only as long as we need it to deliver and support your project, or as long as we are required to keep it for legitimate business and legal reasons. When it is no longer needed, we remove it. We rely on standard, reputable tools — such as our email and messaging services and our website host — to run the business, and those providers process information on our behalf.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — just email contact@thegearedge.com and we will take care of it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you, and we will.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses and the people who run them. This website and our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy as our business grows or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
